The blog looks lost and forgotten these days, much like the lesser visited corners of my garden!
It’s not forgotten however, we’ve had to move out of the house while we get some work done and my internet access has been somewhat limited in recent weeks, no doubt I’ll be back at the end of the growing season – typical! That aside I can say that the growing is going great guns … I’m particulalry proud of my GIANT turnip which looks now to be larger than a large dinner plate. Incredible!
Other than that, the greenfly problem ended in the deployment of the ‘nuclear option’ and chemical spray has been used liberally in the first instance and then targeted laterally! Not what I’d wanted, needs must however and given that we are currently depending on what we grow to supplement to limit our costs I’m not going to lose much sleep it.
